The Penn Institute for Computational Science (PICS) at the
University of Pennsylvania hosts an annual symposium in collaboration with the School of
Engineering at Penn. The symposium brings together mathematicians, computer scientists,
physical and biological scientists, and engineers from across Penn’s campus and the
region with intellectual and research interests in computational science. The 2018
annual symposium was held on October 5th.

The Tristate Workshop on Imaging and Graphics (TWIG) is an
annual workshop for people to exchange ideas on research related to computer graphics.
There will be invited talks by professors from nearby universities and a poster session
for students to present their latest work. Typically we will try to have one 20-25
